Briar Walkabout

Friday November 29

Finally a bright day after what seems like weeks of grim.

Had to get out and explore the local river walk, The Teesdale Way no less!

These houses over on Coniscliffe Road have stupendous rear gardens and terraced balconies.

The water at the weir has a weird and wonderful gloss.  Like polished cobalt.

Followed by a walk to Sainsburies later on and #29 back (sausage mission)

5 miles

Lucky Seven

This year sets a new record for the number of visits to;

Scot Crags - Scugdale

Been out of the loop for several weeks of house moving.  So jumped at the chance to join in with those rufty tufty Boro blokes on one of their regular outings to this reliably satisfying venue.  Seventh heaven....

Hove Hang Out

14 September - 10th October

Residents for a while pending completion of house move to Briar Walk

Wonderful week one weather, mixed after that but mostly mild, sunny, breezy, a few bad days but pretty good.

Day to day existence for last fortnight, trying to move the conveyance conveyor faster than it was able to go.

V&P away in Seville until later September.  Some Flamenco at the Brunswick.  Trips to Croydon and Lewes.  lunch with Thomski members in Ferring on Sea.  Curry out, lots of sessions at the Better Half.

Moving On

Friday September 13th

After almost 21 years we are moving on from our house up in Teesdale
West House, Winston.

It's been a great place and we have enjoyed it throughout, seen the millennium in (The Binge in the Back of Beyond), and three decade busting birthdays.  Now it's time to move on, the garden is not getting smaller, the shops are not getting nearer, the street is not getting quieter, and we are not getting younger.

After a hectic week of packing boxes, trips to the tip and charity shop, we moved our stuff into store and de camped ourselves to Hove.
Lots of Progress by Monday
Fifty cartons bought.  All filled up by Thursday.
Thanks to BP for taking care of all my records,

and Steve for fostering the Guzzi.

The furniture is gone.

Bye bye utility room and shaving station

Farewell to the very spacious master bedroom
