It's almost six months since St Etienne - time to open the envelope.  So spent a short morning at Rock Antics loosening up with Peter - felt good - can now add weekly sessions to the recovery regime.  Marvellous!

Kestrel Butterflies

High pressure in charge so a perfect day to give the green light to the Grisedale Plan - been on Norm's list for some time so gotta be done.  Walk in from Glenridding via Lanty's tarn and a steady plod up the valley to reach the crag.

Pulling through

Wednesday 25th August with a North-South weather divide for once in favour of everyone North of Leeds.  What to do?  West the obvious option after last week's Kyloe capers (some footage here and some more there and even more at this other place).

So Norm's vote for Twistleton carried the day, a new venue for the G man so bags of uncertainty to play with.  Routes including The Fretsaw (yellow) and Evening Star (red).  Priority Corner and Skeleton Scoop featured significant battles with a bulge, as did The Fretsaw.  No problems pulling through for the resident rock stars.  Medusa a devilishly polished monster sandbagging at V Diff or was it actually Severe?

Silverado

A few days home after the wedding, then dad came to visit. Took advantage of our National Trust Membership and had a day at Beningborough Hall.

A slightly splendid country pile, if you like portraits of blokes in wigs.



 On Saturday it was Thomas's 18th Birthday, al fresco round at Sally-Ann's for a megga fuddle.

Monday 16th August was the day of the Silverado itself.  Celebrated with a walk in Coverdale, some lunch at the Blue Lion, then a topless ride round the country in the bomber on the never ending table quest.  Bubbly and snacks back home.  Twenty Five Years - tick!

Time to get back to the gym.......

Friday August 6th was a big day for the Flooks.  Formal links now established with the MacDonalds via the matrimonials of Anne and Alex.

Fabulous day - one for the textbooks, vibes, company, speeches, food, boogie all tops.

The two best men, Will and Adam, did a memorable double act.





We enjoyed a relaxing two nights at Down Hall - doubling as a Siver Wedding treat for the two of us.
