Hasty Bank Holiday

Monday August 31st

TM revealed a plan for a day out in the NYM.  Met up with CB at Clay Bank car park, plenty of folks out in a glorious Bank Holiday Monday.   A mucky walk along the very wet forest trail brought us out to the end of Hasty Bank and easy walk up to the fabulous....

CB very generously said I was to follow my preferences - in need of some suitable mileage to find something like a modicum of form.

First route Jackdaw Gully.  Recalling AT's first outside climb (on 2nd) in the wet in July 1998.

Takes the obvious R-L groove.  Some tricky moves at the grade.

MT puts on a good show on Christopher.   Gallery v appreciative.

MT shows some fine footwork on the classic Sphinx Nose Traverse

TM reveals secret location for a bombproof bong at the belay.  Just near left foot.

Removes need for faffing about over the back.
