Scot Crags Starter

 14 Jan 2022

Quite a few days of dry frosty weather, looks like a chance to leave the wall for another week and head outside to carry on the training where the three of us left off  last November with a return to the NYM GYM au naturel of;

Scot Crags Scugdale

One other climber present - a boulderer all the way from Sheffield making the most of his day off.  Given the morning conditions opted to get the rope out from the get-go.

CB sharpens up his act on the right hand arete direct route up the Razor

AT had an offset fest on the lead of the central flake.

CB collects them all up.

Beware that rocking boulder AT, it's not suitable for the belay.

Other two anchors bomber but still an SPA fail.

BP gets his year under way

CB keeps to his right arete theme with this variant on Pet's Corner, one grade harder than the left hand route.

Footholds around the corner lead to a tricky finish

BP pops up the normal route whilst it's handy.

Be rude not to.

CB get's the jam in near the top of Tooth and Nail

A bit greasy in there.

BP captures some nice AT shaping.

Smooth

BP moves onto a solid jam with the left hand to make a variation finish up that side.

Nailed it!

AT makes the run out on Remus

BP holds it all together and places a bomber friend on Wolf Wall.

There is still plenty to do.

Often the case on routes at this venue.

One more to make a dozen

Sun losing what strength it had but a great session for this time of year.
